Workbook - Pictures

For those of you that attended the Cutting and Placing Workshop this year you were given a workbook. This was the first year that a workbook was issued and Ailene Russell did a fabulous job of putting this together. I would like to take this idea and add to it this year by compiling as many pictures and descriptions, forms and handouts, pearls of wisdom and technique ideas as possible.

This is where all of you come in.

I'm asking you to send me anything and everything that you have in regards to the following.

Pictures of -
  • Tools you use and how you hold them/use them
  • How you set up you microscope stations
  • How you set up your room
  • Your Room and where the patient spends his day
  • How you set up your doctors tray
  • How you take the strip from the patient
  • Your grafts - 1 hair, 2 hair, 3 hair etc.
  • Your sites - perhaps showing how they are made
  • How you plant
  • How you sliver
  • Post-op Packs
  • Anything you can think of!!!
  • I'm also looking for any forms that you use that and would be willing to share with others, such as -
  • Patient information - What they fill out when first arriving at your office
  • Admitting
  • Pre-op instructions
  • Post-op instructions
  • Operative Reports
  • Consultation forms
  • Follow-ups
  • Planting diagrams

I am also curious about what your clinic does in regards to ...

  • Consultations - Who does them, How long are they?
  • Booking surgery - What requirement do you have? Blood work, Deposit, etc.?
  • After Surgery? - What are your follow up procedures? When do you see them next?
  • Any rules you have for staff or the patients?
  • Do you have any special technique that you find really helps make the day go smoother?

Anything and everything that you can send me would be sooo greatly appreciated!!!

If I learned anything last year, it's that it's very hard to get information from people.

So let me warn you now!!!!

The less stuff I receive on here the more annoying emails you will receive from me asking you over and over and over to send stuff in. Save yourselves and send me lots as soon as possible!!!

Thanks again for your time and I really hope to hear from you, someone, anyone, as soon as possible.

Kathryn

O.K. It's taken me a while to get set-up with my blog account, but now that I've figured it out I think this is fantastic!

As far as how we do consultations, we usually set-up a free, hour long consultation with the doctor to discuss different options for hairloss. These options may include Propecia, Rogaine, laser therapy or hair transplantation. If the patient is out-of-state and is not able to come in, then we will schedule a phone consultation. The patient fills out a history online and e-mails photos prior to the phone consult.
